I considered taking the Indian Pacific to Sydney for a trip I'm doing next year. It turns out that the two options are...

1: Pay slightly more than the price of an economy airline ticket to sit in an airline style seat for five days straight.

2: Pay several thousand dollars for a sleeper berth.

I'm going by plane.
